O n May 13th the City of Norman and the Norman
Police Department will be asking the taxpayers to approve a ˝-cent temporary
sales tax for 40 additional Police officers. “For half a penny, Norman can add 41 additional officers to protect our families, neighborhoods, businesses, streets, and parks. We do not have enough police officers to serve the citizens of Norman. Last year we had one officer for every 815 people and investigated 15832 criminal incidents. Department will be seeing the addition of two New Fire Stations plus Equipment
