associated with the "Rescue Norman" Dedicated Sales Tax Campaign via the
Committee to Rescue Norman are listed here below. We invite all Norman residents
to attend these events in support of this important, upcoming vote. This is
indeed a rare opportunity in which citizens have a direct impact on the future
of their own public safety agencies. Firefighters, Police officers, as well as
concerned citizens alike, request your attendance at the voting booth on May 13,
2008 in a show of support to strengthen our communities Public Safety Sector. We
also invite you to attend any upcoming events listed below. Thank you very much!
- The Watch Party will be held at "Stepbrothers" on election-night,
Tuesday, May 13th at 7:00 p.m. Any and all are invited in joining
us for this exciting event.
- The committee will be building 'yard signs' at 606 Iowa
St. on Wednesday, April 30th beginning at 9:00 a.m. (Photo

- A Fundraiser and informational get-together with Norman's Police Officers
and Firefighters for the Public Safety Sales Tax Proposal has been scheduled for
Wednesday, April 23rd from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at "Stepbrothers", 423 S.
Webster in Norman. The community is encouraged and warmly invited to this

- Representatives from the Norman Police and Fire Departments will be
present during a Community Helpers Story Time in the north
parking lot of the Norman Public Library, 225 N. Webster in downtown Norman,
at 11:45 a.m. immediately following the 89er Day Parade on Saturday,
April 19. Children and their families are invited to gather around
a 1949 vintage fire truck for stories about community helpers told by Norman
children’s librarians Ms Kim and Ms Susan. Fraternal Order of Police
led by Steve Lucas and representatives from Norman’s
International Association of Fire Fighters led by Butch Crawford
will join the children in listening to the stories. These representatives
will also remain at the site to help answer any questions regarding the
upcoming election as well. Bring the entire family for this educational &
informational gathering.
